Pet Food Drive & Dogs, Drinks, & Decor Event

If you didn't know, we're BIG dog people at Elm & Iron!

Our favorite event of the year is our Dogs, Drinks & Décor event at our original store in Clintonville. This year, we're kicking off a pet food drive benefiting Columbus Humane and Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center. In store, you can bring in any bag of pet food weighing more than 25lbs or purchase a $30 donation to receive 10% off your order. Online customers can purchase a $30 donation, equivalent to a 25lb+ bag of food, (linked here) to qualify for the discount. We'll match each donation at the end of the drive, and our goal is to fill our 23ft box truck with food for the pups! 

The Dogs, Drinks & Decor event will be from 6pm to 8pm at the Clintonville location. We'll have drinks, a doggy pool, a photobooth, as well as adoptable dogs from both shelters! This is a dog-friendly event, but we do ask that you keep your dog on a leash for the safety of all the dogs in attendance! 

We're also excited to raffle off a 1-month subscription to BarkBox, a $50 Elm & Iron gift card, and a basket of dog-related accessories with all proceeds benefiting the shelters as well! You don't need to be local to participate, and we'll be contacting the winner if they are not present at the event on June 17th. You can purchase a raffle ticket here or in store. 

At Franklin Co. Dog Shelter, they typically go through 750lbs of food each week just to feed the dogs in their care. They also run a community pet food pantry for pet owners experiencing financial hardship. Columbus Humane has also started distributing pet food to those in need and other smaller shelters in the area; they have aided over 6,800 families and distributed 350,000lbs of pet food since they began their pantry program last year!

Each donation is good for 10% off on one order, but you can donate multiple times to receive the discount on multiple orders if they are placed through July 31st, 2021.
