Before wine was so easily traded between people and nations, European villagers had their own way of transporting wine from place to place. Villagers travelled with their Jumbo "Demijohn" Bottles to draw and store wine directly from the casks of local vineyards. The size, color and condition of the Jumbo Bottles vary. Some may have wine residue, adding to the authenticity; others have broken necks, adding to their distinctive beauty.
